Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I'm at the end of my 24 weeks of TX punishment now . I went to the Doc today to discuss my final blood test of the TX cycle.............YES FOLKS IT'S TRUE I OWE YOU A UNDIE DANCE !!!!! :) But its raining now
After 24 wks I am undectable as far as Viral load goes . My WBC is 4 , the Hemoglobin went 9.6 and hematocrit 30.4 . Gee no wonder i'm tired all the time ? My AST went 91 ( should be more in the range of 0 - 40 IU/L , and my ALT was 101 And S/B more like 0-55 IU/L
So my Liver enzymes remain quite high , ?? The doc says that I could have a Fatty Liver as I have had wieght problems most of my life except during my High School years where I was just to stoned to eat most of the time LOL . But thanks to TX i've lost 25 pounds down to 284 now . and the numbers have come down just a bit !
HCV QUANTASURE TEST Less than 5 copies/ mL ...... Unable to calculate result since non _ numeric result obtained for componet test .
Any thoughts on what to do for a fatty liver ??

Now hopefully you will SVR substain viral response in 6 months.
As for you liver enzymes, and fatty liver, what did you Doctor recommend.
I do believe a special diet is recommended usually.
I will google it tomorrow and see what I can find out for you.
Maybe remind me, if I don't contact you by 4pm. Tuesday.

Oh, one more thing, (you know, gater does the undie dance with no clothes on, then he wants to see a picture of you it... ha!,ha!)
Why not consult a plastic surgeon, they'll suck fat out of anything you'll pay cash up front for, LOL.
As far as your ALT and AST being high -- for some people, the TX meds can actually raise those numbers and then they gradually come down after TX ends.
Diet is important. :)

UNDETECTABLE!!!! That is nothing short of a miracle! Oh and I hear dancing (in the moonlight, rain , sun or snow) is good treatment for a fatty liver! Congratulations Johhny!!!!!
