I think Tattman's description is that it "sucked ass".....I'm kinda thinkin that the regular combo treatment does...so that must be like "supersized"....but if this crap don't work I might be willing to try it...(but I think I might try to move to California so that I could get a script for a little medical marijuana! Might as well giggle a little while I stare at the walls).

one year ago I faced the same decision. After 30 days of the brave fight I was so crushed bloodwise--they pulled me off. It also heightened the depression and I actually went on an antidepressant. OK one year later --all out of my system but still infected.

I can only say that if it were me, I would do it would do anything. It would not set well with me to only have 10 years left and not try and fight with everything I have.
It is your decision and you will make the right choice for you and your family.

Doctors told me : I had to take the drugs or I'm a goner! 15 years later and my viral load is 45,000! My labs are good and all I take is vitamins and nutrients! I wouldn't tell you how to live, I just relate what my experience has been! And all my friends over the years that took the TX died of kidney disease or other unrelated ailments! My 3rd TX was the Intergen/Infergen Concences> Everyday injections, plus my 1400mg's of riba's !They stopped it after 81/2 months. Iam stage 4, Im just one of those non-responders. Some of us have to ride that wave ! But Do what you feel is right my friend. Everybody is different and has different responses to all TX's. I have been off TX's now for almost 2yrs, I live my life to the fullest. I refuse to do anymore TX's. I will never give up and never stop fighting the fight. But as much as I get caught up on and read there so called new TX's and crap. I just feel that I need a way higher percentage then what they are offering.

I say its up to you, do what you think will be the best for you. Maybe it won't work, maybe it will. I'm like Trap, I'd try anything to rid the virus. What about waiting until the third drug comes out? You'd have a better chance of clearing then.

Since you are a non responder....did you ask your doc if you could get into a study drug?

if it were me, i'd wait until next year to try the new protocol that is coming out the end of 2010.

or are they wanting you to be in infergen until then and THEN go on the new plan?

Hi Fingers - I have also been on interferon/riba combo for like 17 wks (i lost count). My viral load at 12 weeks had dropped from 5,060,000 to 1170, but i'm told i'm a slow responder and they want me on infergen instead of interferon. Personally, as much as I hate these meds and the way I feel, I've been sick for so long (and told i was only depressed). I want to feel good for a change. I will do whatever my body can handle. good luck with your decision.
