I was on Incivek but my taste changed also. It wasn't as big of a deal compared to the severity of my other sides - but I remember noticing it. I remember not liking ANYTHING italian - the spices tasted terrible. I liked white bread toast and it's probably been 30 years since I've eaten white bread - The nurse told me to do something (I think it was lemon) Someone else here will know - I also remember it only worked a while the lemon heads lasted and then it was back. I did best with with very bland foods.

Yes, I have found this alot myself. Somedays it's worse than others though. I remember I used to love milk. Now I have to force myself to drink it. Even my fav pizza tastes bad.Lost 12 lbs so far. hehe.

The only thing that still tastes good is ice cream....I can't live on that.....lol

I did have a taste problem, I couldn't eat any of my favorite food. I loved peanut butter but I couldn't get down, it would just stick to my mouth. I tried everything and everything! I lost 22 lbs.

one of the documented sides of Vic is dysguesia (spelling?), which is a metallic taste in your mouth.

While I CAN live on ice cream alone, I found the best thing to get rid of the rotten taste was a tootsie roll lollipop. And it's a very mature look too :)

I lost my sense of taste almost altogether. 2 months post treatment, it is mostly back. I think that this is a common side.

I've got 2 shots and 3 weeks of pills left, and still have that "funky" taste in my mouth... Anything lemon seems to help me... A little lemon in my water, lemon drops on occasion (they have quite a bit of sugar in them though), and Orbit brand chewing gum all seem to help..

oh yea while on 48 wks peg/riba i had to force feed myself......the food would literally want to fall out of my mouth while i was trying to chew and swallow.....it was horrible...yea u're favorite food,,yuck,,all food...take care..it gets greater later..............

Yes, everything had a horrible taste to me as well except for a few things - chicken pot pies or Crystal Lite lemonade seemed to work for me most the time, but like you said we can't live on that. I made a decision early on that I was just going to forget about all the stuff I had heard and just try anything to get me through, but I was taking incivek, ribo and peg. I am at week 22 and now it comes and goes, but everyone's experience is a little difference.

I was only on SOC peg/riba but my senses of taste and smell were difinately altered. I practically did live on ice cream. Gained 25-30 lbs. and now I can't get rid of it!!! My taste/smell has pretty much returned to normal, but I think I am addicted to ice cream! This could be a tough detox! Hang in there, Nancy
