Hello HCV fighters
I finished 48 weeks of IFN/RIBA treatment on Jan 20th and tomorrow is the 24th week.
I've read about SVR24, which means I should do the test tomorrow but sometimes I see people saying '6 months test' which one is correct?

I'm scarrrrrrred and don't know what to do, it's a strange feeling I wanna know the result as fast as possible yet I'm afraid to go :S It wasn't a walk in the park and nobody loves repeating it
Give my your advice please

Math is my WORST subject - andI'm in Riba fog, but isn't 24 weeks the same as 6 mos??? :-) ??

Good luck!!! My trial considers ya' SVR at 12 weeks - guess it improves their stats doing it that way!

Hi Pharoah...haven't seen you here in ages.

I think SVR is technically 24 weeks which is pretty much 6 months.

Wishing you undetectable test results now and forever.

go take the test. if you're clear at 24 you'll be clear at 26. if the little bastards haven't come back in 24 weeks they'd dead and gone

getting the svr result is the best, don't delay

If I wait till 6 months exactly it'll be on July 20th not tomorrow and I'm really worried so I wanna it as soon as possible
The problem is: I can't sleep :( it's 2:35 am now

24 weeks is the standard so get the test and then let us know the great news and sleep for a week!

Like joe said the SVR result is the best! Go for the test brother! They are dead. 24 weeks is good.

I have had My VL tested at week 1 after completion of treatment than again at 1 month 3 months and 6 months. My doctor told me my next one will be at 9 months. I think it's a little over kill myself.

Hey Pharaoh it's been much too long since you've graced the halls with your presence. Yes I'll be taking my test soon as well. Either way who cares but I'm doing it 6 months myself. I don't think it'll matter as Dr. Joemz said. I'm trying not to worry about it too much. I haven't even taken a VL test since EOT because I didn't even wanna know. I've loved the blissful ignorance honestly and forgetting about HCV a little more each day. I feel fine though, which is good. No that's really good. I was a little PTSD for months coming off of tx but that has abated. Getting way back to normal. Hope you are too. Well I imagine that you are by now. Quite a few of us will be testing shortly as we had a large group treating together. Anyway, so good to be done isn't it? Felt like it would never ever never ever end.

@barbey, I wanted to sleep the whole week but I found another solution to stop thinking about the results (spent this week playing Criminal Case :) )

@Earnie @Mike My last VL test was also at EOT and that's not what I read online which is at 4,12, 24 week after EOT, but it's ok and I've achieved SVR24 and that's all that matters
