Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
in 2002 i wa told i had stage 2 cirrhosis, by the time i as started on my 3rd different meds i was sage 4. i was giving up hope. then in 2015 i started on harvony, and my atitude was very negative. i really did not thin i would make it for more that a couple more years. but i decided to change my diet and exercise routines. cut out 90% red meat, 95% dairy, 90% sugaar, 90% white flour. replaced with fish and more fish. green leafy and crucifferous vegies. fruits. nuts. and the list goes on for things that help the liver. milk thistle, dandilion root. black strap molassas, papaya, garlic lettuces. cleansing vegis. the list goes on. The end result being that my liver panels have been stable and within average values fo the past 4 years. i walk 3 miles a day and have stamina and a lot better atitude.
my big point is DO NOT give up on yourselves. put in a little effort and you will see a difference. i now have the hope and confidence tha i can see my little grand-daughter grow up for a while. and i thank God for it. eve v in the co-vid times ahead i will strive to remain positive of my outcome. and if i stay as aware of covid as i did with my liver care i will succeed, and so can all of you.

Same story here, diagnosed cirrhosis but now 3?years post harvoni there is no evidence of diseased liver because our bodies - every cell- fight to live!
Same thing I became vigilant about protecting liver.
Some may be too far gone but most of us can recover
You seem like quite the cheerleader with experience. I am surprised seeing my improved progress in such a short time. My improvement has not platted being it is so new since my severe diagnosis. and my son and girlfriend have to be reminded of my situation.
I would love to start some dialog with you.
