The really good news is that ever since I have taken total control of carbohydrate, fats and sugar intake as part of my diet, the amount of insulin I take on a daily basis is only 1/4 of what I had to inject when I just ate whatever I wanted to anytime and I have lost a lot more weight than I already did previously as a result of the diuretics I had to take because of edema and ascites which is no longer an issue for me yet I still have to fight the lymphedema on a constant basis which is concentrated mostly around my calves, ankles and my thighs... I had to go out and buy new pants because none of my older pants were small enough for me to wear and now all of my shirts fit so loose now - it's fanphuckintastically excellent IMHO!!! ;>)
Yeah man, Sugar SUX BIG TIME!!! But I can't go without it sometimes or else I'll become very disorientated, with severe dry mouth, sleepy, fatigued and have erratic heart rates along with very low or very high blood pressure readings or either to pass out or have another bout of congestive heart failure because of my heart muscle pulsing uncontrollably and expanding or contracting but mostly swelling in size and accumulating fluids around it...
And that equates to another stay in the ICU or dare I say worse!!!
bottom line is that sugar isn't necessarily going to kill me... However, if I decide to no longer maintain strict control of my blood sugar levels and start to indulge on massive amounts of carbohydrates in reckless abandon then my time on this planet will decrease substantially in a very short period of time and I want to stick around for quite some time instead! ;>) Watch them carbs!
