I'm in week 7 of 3 drug treatment, 2nd time around, first time was 2 drug, didn't work. I'm not sure what genotype I am, I do know it's the one that has a low cure rate. I'm taking treatment at the VA and I know what their protocols are for starting and ending treatment. I would like to compare it with other places to be sure they don't fail me too soon or whatever. I would appreciatte any help given. Thanks

welcome qk to ds..yea it would be nice to know all u're statuses viral,liver enzymes,,ask for all copies to u're labs,,so u can keep watch over them..god bless u on u're tx. journey............

Can I ask what drugs are in your trial? I'm currently in the processing of screening for a three-drug trial without Interferon..

If you are on incivek, interferon and ribaviran your 4 week blood test must show your viral load is below 1,000. At 12 weeks you need to have cleared the virus. If you meet those criteria then you will continue with interferon and ribaviran for another 12 or 36 weeks.

Welcome!...Sounds like your geno type is 1a..as that geno is the only one that gets the new triple tx=treatment

i think it is better if they think the tx isn't working to stop. I did 48 weeks and still didn't clear. They know when to have you quit. Good luck, I hope you clear.
