Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
It's been some time sense I've been here but when I do pop in I see the folks that really helped me thought my tx. Hugs and Kisses to all.
Went back to the docs a couple of weeks ago for my 6 months post treatment. She ...the doc....said if I was still clear then I had beat the HepC. and all had have to do is get my liver checked once a year by my family doc.
What do you all think, I thought you had to be clear for at least a year to be able to say the dragon was dead.
I was in a clinical trail, was undie in 2 wks and only had tx for 24 wks. I had/was 1b.

Good to hear from you. You are very fortunate. Congratulations on a clear 6mos. Don't worry about anything. Just listen to your dr .Enjoy being free.
Guess you know Gbuzz & wife are on the road?
My doc told me the same thing...I was clear at 6 mos post tx and he won't check my VL again until a year after that...which is 18 mos post.
