Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
So try not to be. My AFP was 24 at last test (December). That's truly nothing to worry about - we have (HAD, I HOPE) HCV and other things are factored in like age. Docs aren't concerned until AFP hits in the mid hundreds (400, 500) or so, so we needn't be either.
What meds are you doing? You'll be okay - Sovaldi is the bomb. So you're taking it with Riba or Olysio? Some of us have some sides - I did and it's still in my system so I still do (finished 2 days ago), but without Interferon in the mix it's MUCH SO MUCH more tolerable. I never did the dreaded I'feron, but I've sure read enough about it.
Don't be skeeert. :)
Giant Ashtray, AZ to be precise.
Had a HUGE snake slithering across our property today that the neighbors told me went up one of our trees - one of those conifer things that doesn't need much moisture to survive - very tall tree. Snake is still there I guess. OMG. This is the WILDS!
clovers- allow me to clarify ernie's question about the death shots - it was for you, not me. What tx are you doing, clovers?
So okay, you're doing the NEW triple - and you know it won't be as bad as the OLD triple - no InterF*CKon. Riba - eh - but your doc will lessen the dosage if need be. 1200 mg is a lot - but I know it's weight based. Take your medicine, child. CURE! HEAL! LAUGH!
I bleeped out the wrong letter in my precious post and yes PCM, I know it's AZ. Grand Ashtray, AZ. I totally got confuzed for a moment. But with all your trips to Las Wage$ that you talk about, I think it's hardly my faux pas!
Anyone want me to drag up the most hysterical conversation I ever heard on this board? It started with Dilly mentioning that movie where the airplane crashed in the Andes mountains... and there were survivors, getting hungrier & hungrier.
I'd like some yays or nays... but I'm going to look for it anyway. You want to see if you can find it first roasted leg of Ernie?
