Hi to all my friends out there new and old. Well today is the day I am starting detox!! For those of you that don't know me know I was on tx and failed it. But successfully came out with an a addiction to peracet . I was trying to ween myself off but couldn't do it. So I went to emerg yesterday and now I am starting detox today. I just took my last two ever at about 8 this morning. Apparently I will start to feel the effects six hours after taking last dose. The hospital told me what to expect and I have done research. Won't be pretty. For all you newbies out there that are thinking of taking a pain killer to help you through treatment DON'T. I thought it was the best idea ever. Boy, was I wrong. Just thought I would let you all know what is going on and to say you probably won't be hearing from me for a few days. Hope everyone else is doing as good as can be expected and my thoughts are with each and everyone of you. So, on that note wish me luck and I will check in when I can.

UPDATE- 9 HRW HOT AND COLD SWEATS, HEADACHE, BODY PAINS, SLIGHT DISORIENTATION. LIKE I SAID BEFORE SPELLING IS NOT A PRIORITY AT THIS POINT. NOT YELLING I CAN JUST SEE MY WORDS BETTER LOL. HUSBAND JUST CLEANED MY GALSSES AND NOW I CAN SEE without yelling. lol. Very giddy at this point as well. Feel like I am stoned. lol

Take good care and remember detox can be medically risky so if you feel you are getting into trouble be sure to get some medical help.
Cold Turkey method can be brutal!

I am sooo happy to hear that! You can do this thing! You are doing the right thing! Fight it like you fought the SOB virus! Very proud of you! I did the same kind of thing 31 years ago and am still clean! It will not be an easy road but nothing worthwile is. God bless you!

are they puttng you on a 5 day reduction regime of subutex? or are you doing it cold? Just be aware of the 24 hours required between the last dose of percacet and the first dose of subutex otherwise a precipitated withdrawal can occur and that is certainly not pretty

Hi Bill,
I am doing this at home with my husbands help. Cold turkey as of 8 this morning. Stated to feel the effects. Sure it is going to get a lot worse before better. Hubby is keeping a close eye on me. We have a blood pressure so he will be monitoring that for me I am on med for b/p but it has gone up since this all started. He has taken all drugs out of the house. And he picked me up some supplies to get me through this including Epson salts for the bath. And chocolate. lol Find I am getting a little weaker as time goes by.
