I noticed the article says "virologic response" as opposed to SVR. Do you think it means UND or simply that their viral load dropped? That technically is a virologic response.

I'd really like to see data on this. Thanks for posting.

Dunno ..it's not clear in this press release but you can Google trial results and find lots of more detailed information on Sofosbuvir.
The point of this article is about timeline for approval.

Actually they're keeping trial data under wraps. The last released data on the Electron trial says 100% of 9 people were SVR4. I heard they're going to release an update to that at the EASL conference.

Granted, it was a study on 7977 + 5885. Since I'm 1a, I'm interested in the combo therapy.

But 7977 will be good for 2's & 3's.

Sofosbuvir + 5885 are combined into one pill. I take one of them everyday. Gilead's plan is to go to the FDA mid 2013. I think it's scheduled for fast track, which means it will be approved within 6 months of submission instead of the usual one year.

Yay! I just hope 5885 is as good of an NS5A inhibitor as Daclatasvir.

That will be wonderful. The cure is at hand! We've been blessed! Finally!

I started the trial last friday... % days now (woop woop)..7977 + 5885. Since I'm 1a i have done the interferon and peg ribi treatment.10 yrs ago..SDo this is my last hope i think..But im praying this is the one..Will keep you updated on viral loads as updated.. Started out at 4.5 million

Finished the trial, but blinded as of right now. Will not be blinded 2 months from now.

Will keep you guys posted.

Undie by two by third week blood work. Viral load 16 million in the start.

My viral load during the study was kept in a dark plastic sleeve (well one of them was kept from the sunlight/light) post this was NOT done. I asked the tech. specifically about this and she said it was not required. I think this is good :)

Waiting for something to be approved for post-transplants. Doctors don't think I can wait that long, but we will see.
