Do 3x treatment or hep c cause sharp upper back pain around shoulder area? I'm on week 7 3x treatment last few days upper back and shoulder pain at times get almost unbearable then depend on my posture it will leave for a while don't know should i go get x ray or is it just part of side effect do any one have any input on this.

Have you had a biopsy very recently? The upper shoulder area is affected by it, however I am unsure if the sx's on it would last....
could also be stress, tense muscles or arthritis.....
call your doc asap on mon am.....could be something completely different than whaT you think.....
