you know a UTI symptom...burning and pain when urinating....... D -Mannose clears it up fast...in health food store...it is the 100% ingredient in cranberries ..hope they best for you in tests...I always make mountains out of mole hills...think possitive till tests come.....old age does it too .... kagels.....I find here in AZ , weather changes will rid the needed water in my body...the heat of summer needs more stored water and when it cools down , it levels out I guess cause I pee all the time...even when I go to Cal. to see daughter in mid summer, I am imbarrassed as I pee for two days while I am there then it stiops

Right now my creatinine is 1.5, creatinine clearance is 50, and GFR is 34 - all bad readings. My nurse practitioner wants me to see a kidney specialist, but if the problem is caused by the diuretics I take to try to keep the fluid down in my belly, or by the cyclosporine I take to keep from rejecting my transplanted liver, why see a kidney specialist? That's what I'll be asking my liver doctor on the 27th.

You've got some time Marilyn. I'd recommend seeing a Nephrologist. They may make some suggestions on your meds and confer with your Abdominal Transplant / Hepatology team. Some things can help your Cr, Cr Cl and GFR as they're known like making changes to your diuretic regimen, decreasing protein in your diet or adjusting your immunosuppressants. Those teams often work closely together. Nephrologists are some very smart doctors -- Internal Medicine physicians that do an additional 3 years of Nephrology Fellowship and add'l boards. Couldn't hurt to monitor that to avoid dialysis down the road. Doable but you've gone through more than enough.

I am just a stoner. Keep getting kidney stones. I drink water like crazy, so I don't know why I get them. One kidney is damaged due to a stone blocking the ureter, but the other works fine, so all is good. Had two stents put in this year, but they are uncomfortable. I expelled one a few days after it was put in and that hurt like a mo fo.

ACV will disolve the calcium off a rusted tire...so will diet coke but I choose apple cider vinegar and apple jc....one capfull to a 1/4 c apple juc or any water or jc.. to keep the build up down and alot of other good bennnnies...my cousin tried everything and now his cholestteroll is down I have low cholesterol

recommended and it made my liver sick....

Be careful what you put in your body.....I don't know much, but I know what makes me sick.....
