Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
When I finally made it through treatment, I decided come hell or high water that I was going to start taking better care of myself. I've been exercising every day, eating right, and have lost 30 lbs in 4 months. WOOT!
But it's getting cold now, even in Texas. Today it was 37 degrees, wind out of the north at 15 with a light rain. Wind chill of about 28.
I just got back from a one hour bicycle ride. I was well dressed so I stayed pretty warm. I had a breathable rain jacket, long sleeve jersey and a base layer for my upper body, with shorts and tights underneath for my legs. For my feet I had wool socks and shoe covers, along with heavy thinsulate gloves for the hands.
I had a skull cover and helmet, but I think I need a baklava. My face got pretty cold when I was headed into the wind. Other than that it wasn't too bad.
If it gets really bad I can always lift weights in the garage, jog or even ride my exercise bike (hate it). But the bottom line is that this is so much easier than treatment.

sugar's sweet, bread is doughy
it makes me fat, & very slow(y)
I don't drink
I don't get high
I don't smoke
