Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Well Levicah, yes the US and not the World. Yes it's not Utopia. We still have insurance companies, pharmaceuticals, costly hospitals stays and procedures, not to mention people that work in healthcare so it will never be a utopia. You're right too, some people will have a hard time still affording affordable healthcare. Yes, some working class and small businesses as you say. Surely there are other problems. The rich are fine and the poorest get subsidies and other assistance for ACA or Medicaid respectively. At the same time, millions more have coverage that didn't. Millions more will obtain coverage at the next enrollment period too and so on. Things for your honest opinions and disagreements and for being respectful in disagreeing with me and not calling me an EHole. Hehe. For Ernie.
So all that considered, yes I think it is a vast improvement. I've also posted many times that it would be great to see the Republican leaders quit trying to scrap it as they have over 60 times now and actually make it better! Why don't they focus on the problems with it that people like you are referencing? I don't know. I know it will change though as ACA isn't going anywhere.
As for FOX News, I tune in from time to time to see what they're saying. Most of what I hear is that Obama is responsible for everything that is going poorly in our Country. Everything. They dislike (and often hate) everything about him, everything he's done and everything he tries to do. They will obstruct him or his policies at every turn, whether they're good or bad for the Country and pass on that message to their right-wing viewing audience. It's a political and fact blurring network packaged well with bells, whistles and strident hyperbole. It's basically editorial entertainment. The MSNBC network essentially did the same thing. I watch only little of either consequently. Anyway this is just my opinion. I'd love to see FOX call yo the GOP to make ACA better. Not holding my breath but I'll wait patiently.
As for the comment from the person on the other thread, that was handled well by the members. She hasn't seen anything yet. Wow we've had some interesting, divisive and contentious threads here before. This wouldn't even make the Top 20 since I've been here. Yes cherry pick for sure! I don't read most of the threads these days. They either don't interest me or I don't have the time.
Yes I do believe things are better though with healthcare but we have much work to do and a long say to go. We need the GOP to get on board and help make it great. Won't happen without them.
Damn I cannot write a short post sometimes.
Peace.
you got me wrong on my "poor choices", I'm talking about spending money on luxuries rather than insurance, not how you got hep C.
oh and Cap, I'm working on my weight
I have family members coming along behind me.
We spend enuff $$$ on all kinds of crapola, health care in this country should be a basic right like education. We are wealthy & we should take care of our own, our children, our vets, our nuturers of future generations (parents) and what about the poor young adult struggling like I did before I was blessed with education & a career?
You don't have to do anything, but I desire to give back what I've been given.
Love ya ernie!
I loved to watch TeleTubbies at WORK in the late afternoon when we were done. Perfectly demonstrated our capacity at that time of day.
Having a little handle on top of your head for....nevermind.
