Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I'm SVR 12 and "considered" a treatment success!

I do have to ask tho, since I am not sure of the terminology, but does SVR 12 mean 12 weeks of Sov/Rib treatment completed? Or 12 weeks AFTER the Tx is done?

SVR is "Sustained Viral Response" meaning a person has sustained a viral status (undetectable) a number of weeks after finishing any treatment. SVR 12 is 12 weeks after stopping, then there is SVR 24, usually the last viral load test done 6 months after finishing treatment.

I really see HCV going down in history soon. The drugs are awesome. Just need to be cheaper and more accessible. Soon Soon :)
