I had something simular happen one night after the second week of being on tx with Incevik. It was like I woke up, and I really didn't have the normal urge to go, but I could tell that my bladder was SUPER full and hard feeling even, so off to the bathroom I ran. I didn't quite make it, not a gusher or anything, but I had to change my underwear! The odd thing was the no warning of the urge to go.
So........my guess it is the Incevik like PB is suggesting and once you finish that, that will be gone as well. hey, one thing I know about being on this is that there is no dignity. Stuff happens and you have to be one strong person to make it through. And you're doin' it! =)
As far as your boss....some people say the stupidest things when they feel so bad for you that they don't know what to say. I bet she's beating her self up right now going " Why the hell did I say that? I'm an idiot! How fricking stupid I am!" and I bet she apologizes to you too.
Don't worry. It will all be over soon and you'll be better than new!
if it happens again , you could dump the water in your lap.
oops I spilled my water.
don't get pushed over the edge by some piss.
best wishes
I'm not on any other meds, but I notice this tends to happen, about 48 hrs after my Interferon shot, usually. This had never happended to me before Tx, either. Also, every night, as soon as I take my last dose of Victrelis and riba, around 11 pm, I lie down,to go to bed, and then end up making trips to the bathroom every 45 minutes, until morning.
I am usually fine, during the day-time. I think the Tx meds affect the kidneys, whichis why we are told to drink so much water.
Thanks hugs to you all.
Debbie
Take the full script even if you feel better, that's how it works.....many peeps stop mid script.
I am very mind full of how I wipe myself so to prevent an infection....that's not the only way to get one, but ya can...UTI anyway... I too pee myself, and am on week 34 trp Incivek peg/copeg.
Try to
a) not take riba after 6pm.....Chk w Dr. Also helps w better sleep.
B) not to drink water 1/2 hr before returing to bed.
C) avoid diruetic foods
D) go to restroom often, you know you are drinking water. The bladder may not give you your signal, but you do know ya gotta go sometime lol. I must work on this one too. Peed last Sat.... Not pretty.
Every time I void ( urinate) I drink at least 6-8 oz of water when I finish to replete the water passed.
Pads are a very good suggestion and will give you some peace of mind.
As for the employer, you can pull aside and gently say you are experiencing some challenging sides. Mention you are on a chemotherapy that melanoma and non- hodgkins lymphoma patients take; because you are.....and ask if they can understand where you are at. That ought to put the kabosh on it and compassion will no doubt follow. I did this multiple times and it has been a Godsend.
Hugs and good health, jibs
So I switched that up just to see if indeed, it was the clprit. I started eating a bowl of canned peaches (in heavy syrup) at about 3:30 in the afternoon, then take the Riba no later than 4:00 ( I took my first Riba in the morning with my Incevik at 5AM) The peaches help with the stomach upset. Since I've been doing that, I sleep well, except for the bathroom 1 or 2 times a night. That's getting better too since I have cut off my water intake at about 7PM and just take a bottle of water in when I go to bed. Sometimes I have to drink water during the night, sometimes not so much.
One good suggestion (they are all good) is to do keagals! U can do them anywhere, especially while stuck in traffic or at ur desk.
And yes, be sure to drink cranberry juice (real not cocktail) and to eat yogurt w/active live cultures to prevent yeast infection from antis. Good luck and so happy u do not have to worry!!! Peace Love and Light Always~
