Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
She is 54 and has had HCV for 35 years.
Her legs get this red, blotchy patches.
They also look like there are brown spiderweb-like visible veins throughout her legs and feet.
She does not have diabetes.
Treatment for her was Interferon monotherapy, unsuccessful.
I have had HCV (1A) for the last 32 years, no diabetes, and no peripheral neuropathy......yet....I hope never
The restless leg is so bad that I have trouble sitting though a movie at night. I take Gabepentin, it helps a bit. I tried Ropinirole, but it made it worse.
The strange thing is that none of this bothers me much in the morning or early afternoons. I had this before treatment, but it seems to be MUCH worse now.
I have an appointment next week with a specialists in Houston. I had to wait 3 months to get on his calendar. I'm hoping he can help.

I don't think it's related to the previous three treatments I was on before it started but am not sure it's from the Hep C.
Other than the symptoms I describe to the doctors there has never been any test that confirm that I have (hashtag) Neuropathy.
Right now I deal with it during the day and just keep up my physical activity life style in day and pay the piper at night.
This week I am going to start working with a Spine and Sports rehab specialist combing adjustments, physical therapy, with B12, and other supplements suggested by other specialist. I can't do any of the meds like Lyrica, neurotin, etcetera etcetera. These tend yo give bad dreams bordering on nightmares. Once again thanks to all
Neuropathy is ususally a symptom of a greater problem.
Gluten Ataxia is becoming a very common ailment. You can have it without digestion issues. It can be "silent" If you have "brain fog", you could have it. It is an extreme reaction to gluten proteins.
