Hello Everyone, Just got my 21st injection of 24 shots of interferon. I am 2b and my vl when I started was 20 million. I've been undie since the 4th week which they tell me here is counted at 15 but my vl came back nil, undetected. That's quite a jump from an 8 digit number to two digits, I'd say. I've had a heck of time with the tx with every side effect you can think of. Nearing the end, my body seems to have adjusted and it's just a waiting game now. Still weak and fatigued at times but nothing like the first 4 months. I can actually get around, do a bit of housecleaning, shopping and visiting. Still haven't quite come out of my shell and hide from people. I don't like large gatherings of acquaintances and avoid them altogether. Still have a sharp tongue and hard on my family. Haven't driven my car since the 4th week of tx. Panic disorder sets in. My taste is coming back; can now drink coffee and it tastes good. I had a biopsy in 2004 which showed no scarring so that was good. I was diagnosed in 2003 but it took me this long to decide whether I wanted the treatment. I'm 62.
So if this is any consolation to anyone, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
