Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Just to let you know members of the Hep c community, that me adding my name to the petition that is going around was a major mistake on my part... 1. I thought it was meant for someone else, 2. I am not in a position to add myself onto any petition here.. so please consider my name off this list thanks... now please no hate mail, I have received enough from this member to start with, and other...this is my personal decision and would respect my opinion towards this post..
