Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I got my 4 week labs back monday minus my VL, not in yet, and prior to starting the victrelis my numbers are already declining....
my WC count went from baseline 9/22, 5.1 to 11/10 to 1.5...
my platelets went from 122 to 58
the nurse said he isn't concerned till it hits 35 or lower...
also my sodium level is down so she wants me to decrease my water intake and start using table salt...yuck
on top of that lovely news, a friend of mines brother passed last weekend, he was 46,liver failure/hep c....I believe he chose to continue to drink...God rest his soul
twas a tearful and depressing day.....
just knowing that Our Heavenly Father is here to carry me through these simpler times gives me the strength to get through the next battle, and I'm pretty sure there will be
and I thank God for my family, friends and Daily Support family...

Please don't use table salt....it is loaded with nasty chemicals...read a label you will be amazed...instead go for either celtic salt or himilayan salt....read the label...it says SALT...thats it....its a little costly but its worth it.
@gooser, I am taking your advise on the salt thing...I have a little gray salt, but will certainly invest in the good stuff, thank you...
