I thought I heard somewhere that after having hep. c for a certain length of time, you can't get rid of it. Does any one know anything about that. I was told Mon. that I have it back again, after 48 weeks of tx. I found out I had it 15 yrs. ago. I have genome type 3 if that has anything to do with it.
Geno type 1, obesity, ethnicity, viral load can be a few of many things that make it more of a challenge to get that SVR we all want.
I am geno 1 and 40 years infected. I did not respond to peg and riba but my chances are much better with the addition of Telaprevir when it becomes available. I will try again.
I'm sorry you learned of relapse after going through the full treatment.
