Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

I hadn't checked in here for quite some time. How is everyone doing?
Things are well here. No change in my health, just kind of treading water waiting for something to come up.

Nice to hear from you Rob and glad to hear things are going well. I'm sure you know that the FDA recently approved the new HCV med (for triple therapy) so that, whenever you are feeling it's a good time for you to give it another try, the meds are available for you.

Rev. Rob, I just checked your profile the other day. I have been thinking about you & wondering if you were going to try the new tx now that it is available. I have also been wondering how you did at recouping from your former tx. I hope all is well with you, we really really miss you here! How about giving us a more thorough update on what you've been up too. I miss reading your journals! Tons of hugs.

Hello Moussa. I'm fairly new here but wanted to give you this little info. I'm in wk. 2 of a Clinical Trial for the new,new drugs (no Inteferon). Its a Phase 2 trial so these drugs are probably at least 2 yrs. out from approval BUT there are so many sites doing Trials on these types of drugs. They are the future of tx. I'm sure there will be nationwide Trials for non-responders very soon if results from the current Trials cont. to be as promising as they've been so far. Good luck to you!!
