Hi Vikki! Yes, you are in the right place...sometimes things get off track....thats all I will say about that...except try to overlook those times. This is a HepC support group. You are in the right place bagolady.

Many folks don't get out much due to this illness. This is where they connect with others. Overtime, a little distraction from a disease we can't control is helpful for them.
Personally I agree with you. I come to this board for hcv related matters. I skip over off topics because I try to consider newcomers who are here for info & support.
I've been a member here since 2008. I see the same questions & debates over & over. Have to take a break sometimes!
Just read the threads that interest you, or start a new one.

It's a free for all here. It's really hard to try and have a set rules of on topic discussion only. Even with so many subgroups the topics can wander to Sex, Politics and Religion. Pretty much this first page of topics covers those three subjects, exp Politics.

Choose the discussions you wish to participate and ignore the topics that set you on edge.

At the begining of my treatment I felt so bad, I just wanted some relief. I had to wear sunglasses to bed because the morning light hurt my eyes. The birds outside chirping aggravated me. I was so sensitive to light and sound. I did not want to be around myself never mind people. When I read the off topic post or a funny post I would say the same thing.Now feeling better I like the funny posts and the u tube songs. Its a great mix

Believe it or not...I try to be very sensitive to all those on Tx....I do post Off Topic posts...but I try to only be a distraction....an outlet....hell in the scope of life & Hepc...no one cares or needs to know about me drinking my 1st cup of coffee....but it was a fun thread....and had information tossed in....
Threads have a way of taking on a life of their own....because we are all people...with different personalities likes & dislikes.....
There are some OT posts I do not even read...and I am sure some ppl do not read mine...I know that is shocking :):).....but idk...if this place was only for hepc topics...treatments...sides...struggles...problems...i think it would be draining...and not uplifting...we need some life tossed in...some distractions sometimes....and its okay to have a lil fun.......

yea i couldn't believe it when u said u never drank a cup of coffee mema..yea u're not a texan thats for sure we were bottle fed coffee,,i tore up a many of baby beds i stomped them to death...stomped the bottoms right out of them..i was hell on wheels when i entered this world....lol...just call me baby...........lol,,yea i make stupid,,ot topics trying to take peoples minds off of there problems for a minute..

Dilly, I'm a Dallas girl, born and raised on coffee, Dr. Pepper and Wolf brand chili. Been all over my beloved state of Texas! Thinking about driving the 'Bago to the coast to see if Houston can put me in a trial.
