Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

I just got the call! First of July I will be in Houston, Texas at Liver Specialists of Texas! I'll be in their clinical trials! I'm so excited, my son and grandchildren are in Houston so I'll be able to see them and hug my babies!

Bagolady- I am so happy to hear that. Those without healthcare, unfortunately, have limited options.

Do you know which trial it will be? If not let us know when you know. I've done a lot of research on clinical trials so I'm really curious. Well sounds like this are really looking up.

Have you done the screening yet?

I have no clue what tx will be used in this trail. In Dr. Galatis blogs he mentions something new that just came out so I'm wondering if that will be involved in it. I do not remember the name.
The woman that called me was so wonderful, so sweet. Tomorrow I will fax them my med. records and then I'll wait to move and get started. If I'm going to be on tx I'll at least be with my family (and the beach close by!)
This isn't something where part of the group gets some placebo, is it? I certainly hope not.
Hopefully soon I will know what all your acronyms are! I think I wanna do the undie dance but not sure. I did do the jammy dance when I got the call...
