Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
What type of reaction do you folks have at the injection site? I gave myself a shot on Sunday and had absolutely nothing, then on Wednesday a small red spot appeared. This morning the spot is about 2" x 2". Doesn't hurt, just looks weird. Is this normal?

Sound about Right, once one of my turm dark purple. Should take around three weeks to go away. Just make sure you do a diffence area next time.

Many do get a reaction at the injection site and it does take a few days to show up. Probably lasts a week or two. If your "splotches" get bad, you can take Benadryl 1/2 hour prior to your injection to help ward it off. Works for me.

I should amend that to say it might take up to 3 weeks or more to go away.

Yup that's normal. I used the blotch to know where to do my next shot! Lots of times I would have a row of them in various stages of fading. they should not hurt at all.
