Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I am turning into some kind of a weirdo, due to this Tx! I dont like taking a shower or washing my hair: it tires me out, and drys out my skin.
And I am also geting phobic about catching diseases, etc. Although I dont let my finger-nails grow to 3 ft long, like Howard Hughes, lol
My greasy hair is no pretty sight, I am in a real slump, when it comes to caring about my looks. It would just take too much work. With my hemolytic anemia, my main goals for the day are to: get the kids off to their various schedules, do the laundry, shop for food, prepare the dinner, take my meds, colapse in bed (and come onhere and write)
I feel bored, and like I did as a teen, when I had mono, with a fever, one summer. Or was that my acute Hep C setting in???
I have had symptoms from my Hep C, it seems like, forever and ever.
I am looking forward to a hep C life,in the future. Once I get SVR,then I will worry about getting back in shape, and my looks, etc.
I just wish I had the energy to take a shower right now, but then dinner wouldn't get done~ This is what it must feel like, to be 105 yrs old

You need a spa day! :-)
You have your hands full w/kids, cooking, etc. it's very tough to do all that even w/out being on tx.
Rest whenever you can. and if you feel like skipping a shower, you go right ahead.

Good luck to you. Hang in there. For me anyway, the sx got easier after the first 3 mos.
Can the kids help out in any way?
I've made several "big" meals (spaghetti sauce, stew, veggie soup, etc.) That I freeze in smaller packages and take out as I need for the nights that I just can't do it. Reheating something is WAY easier for me.
I don't know if you have a lot of chlorine in your water, but I had my husband pick up a shower head chlorine filter- I've been using it since I started treatment and it seems to help! Just a thought!
And no pee saved up in jars...just many trips to the bathroom to pee, but only from11 pm to 7 am. I'm perfectly fine in the day-time, lol
The thirst and dry mouth waits until night to hit, maybe because I take the Riba and Victrelis around 10;45 pm~
Also, I enjoy my early morning "riba-dreams" that occur, between 6 and 7 am. last week I dreamed i gave birth to the cutest little baby-girl.
In the dream, I didn't 'bond" with her, because I couldn't nurse her, becuz I was on the meds. I went looking for a bottle and some formula for her, after a few days....what a dream. All my dreams are about Tx now, I am obseessed and consumed by this process~
