Okay, I see from reading prior threads that there is no magic date and it is anyone's guess. I will keep reading ImKramer's posts as I see he follows the progress of drug availability quite closely and will hope for the best like everyone else.

I had my consult at Toronto Western and was told that Canada usually follows about 6 months after FDA approval in the United States. Sofosbuvir is going for FDA approval in June of this year and if fast tracked (hopefully along with Ledipasvir) then our American friends should have access in early 2014 to treatment.
If you have private insurance, then the six month lag in Canada could be reduced to a couple months.
All this being said. it looks like about a year from now if all goes well.

So, are you thinking they might possibly submit the combo for approval this year, rather than Sofo first and Ledipasvir later? I was starting to hope for that, too.

You've been pulling up good news items, as usual...but it seems weirdly quiet to me on the Gilead front. Ever since I started paying attention to this stuff, I couldn't help noticing that Gilead was REALLY into PR stuff...feeding a constant stream of announcements and results and forecasts to the press. Nothing wrong with that at all...I thought it was cool. But lately it seems quiet...
If this was a B-movie - and maybe it is - I'd add "Too quiet."
