Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I didn't get them early on but became "intense" and later in the treatment had more of a time with the rages and crazy feelings, But it would settle down just when I thought I would not get better things would ease or change a bit. I did take lots of breaks from the kids and try to escape the situation as quickly as possible or things got out of hand. Also a lot of people have anti-anxiety type drugs instead of andepressants. Since finishing I realise I was clenching my jaw and hands a lot throughout treatment. I found journalling helped too because my partner just didn't want to hear it after a while. Keep talking about it, hoping you are undetectable cickadee.
What I'm doing is cutting wayyyyy down on caffine and seeing if that helps with that speeding feeling. I think it's that "speedy feeling" that gets the rages going.
My oldest son calls me every night and I have had to apologize to him several times for being pissy. I tell him it's not me (which he knows I'm a pretty patient loving person too) it's the damn medicine! He just says " Mom, I know and you only have a x amount of time to go. You'll make it and I'm thick skinned anyways. I love you. Talk to you tomorrow." Bless his heart is all I can say.
People who know you, know your heart and if you explain, it's not me, it's the damn meds..they'll still love you even when you rage.
Never lose hope. They are working on some great new drugs.
Love,
Kelly
