the new triple therapies are not approved for decompensated cirrhosis and whenever you take these drugs you run the risk of your liver going into further decompensation (even with just the peg and riba) so treatment is not without risk and recent larger scale studies have shown that cirrhotics have larger instances of adverse events greater than the clinical trials have shown.......so having said that....they can work at slaying the dragon for us,I failed 2 other treatments and this has been the only one that has worked for me,I cleared this virus in wk 4 and have been undetectable ever since....now my experience.....brutal....I was bedridden from anal issues for 5 wks,i developed a rash over 60 % of my body,I went from one issue to the next and didnt start tapering off till wk 24,since then its been a roller coaster but as always im a fighter and keep plugging along.....liver condition....my labs are awesome I do fluctuate with my ast and alts once they shot up so high I thought the virus was back....but was still undetected(wk 36) so if you decide to treat and your good to go,your commiting to 48 wks(cirrhosis protocol) Why do think your only gonna last a couple of years? what other things are going on with you? do you have ascites?or varices?portal hypertension?compensated Cirrhosis is not a death sentence even people that have some decompensation issues get managed and have long lives sure theres others that are too far along and have to get transplants.....kill this dragon and make lifestyle changes, healthy liver friendly diet.....that sliver of a liver will carry you a long way.you have any questions or need data to back up my statements,i will gladly help in any way I can
