Help me understand

So as some of you know I saw my hep Dr. last week. All my lab reports were amazing so know problem there. Ho told me about two new drugs available to me and told me to go home an research them. Sofosburir and Simeprivir. He told me that the tx would be 12 weeks and no interferon and no side affects. I have to check with my insurance company to see if they will cover it. If they don't I am not sure what next. So, everything that I have seen so far says it is in combination with interferon or other drugs. I thought this was the only one I would have to take???? Then I saw a post here how sick someone is???? Can anyone shed some light on this for me??? I would rather die then go back on interferon or anything that would make me as sick and crazy as I was last year on triple tx.
Help me please!!

Hi best shot ..another Canadian here and I think Kramer is you guys are lucky to have ins to cover Solvaldi ...I have been on the old stuff ...not working either but my doc got back from London UK and the combo pill is due for approval this year in Canada pretty much as soon as its approved in the US Ins will start to cover it early next year AND it will be covered for geno 1.and Failed 3,s only to begin with ! so I have to wait till its covered by trillium
Sides definitely depend on so many things General Health ..liver stage and any other health probs you have at the time I am not that bad on the INF /Riba Three days after I feel cruddy sick nausea and tiredness but then I feel better each day till needle day lol am always tired tho and cant rush around ...I 've watched others on here do the Solvaldi and people are soooo much happier on that the INF/Riba most seem to have had mild headaches I think poor cat sounds like she has a Virus as well ...so don't miss out on your chance ...you may not have bad side and honestly if you can to 2x old tx you can KICK but with the newer stuff LOLOL go for it ..KILL that Dragon ..it 12 weeks only !!!!! GODD LUCK

I do SOV/Riba 1200 and I thought I would croak when I saw the Riba,
but I am doing it and going out, doing things.

It is not like the INF/Riba - believe me, I could never do that again.

The SOV makes you feel so good internally that the side effects don't mean much.
Actually most of my side effects have stopped, and I have just started week 4......Whole new ball game here now...

Today is my 9th day of Sovaldi/Olysio. So far, feeling just fine, except for the fluid in my belly that keeps coming. Had last paracentesis last Wed. 3 liters were removed. I'm hoping the treatments will help that problem, but don't know if it will or not.
