Do you mean class 4 cirrrhosis?
I am cirrhotic too and it is common knowledge that if cirrhotics can clear the virus before complete liver failure, the liver can carry on for many years with good life style/liver friendly habits. Liver transplant can be avoided!
Liver fibrosis is not exact. You need clarification from your Dr. or find another.
Good treatments are coming soon!

Or do you mean pass, as in pass criteria for trial? I'm cirrhotic, and I was accepted into a trial, but until recently most trials excluded cirrhotics. Good luck!

I'm sure Kramer and Sandy got it covered it between them, but i think Kramer's comment to posibly look into a new doc is valid no matter what. i think it very inapprpriate for a doc to tell a patient with a serious health concern that you are "pestering" him!

best of luck. hang in there. new treatments being approved by december for gen 2 and soon after for gen 1. They have a HIGH success rate!

(yey) I am waiting for the doctors name and tele# hopefully I can pass the requirements and be accepted into trial will let you guys know...again thank you for your time and info means a great deal to me...

Please let me know what you find out about trials in NY...I applied at the Bronx VA but it filled quickly...I'm on a list and they say by years end something coming up...I qualfied abd my liver is about in the same shape...perhaps we can find a trial together!

Clovers a couple of years ago preparing for death seemed logical but not the case now. Soon..very soon things are changing fast!

On clinicaltrials it says they are recruiting for NCT01851330
in NYC.
Sofosbuvir/Ledipasvir with/w/out Riba 8 or 12 weeks. I'd guess the trials are no longer available since the site is often not up to date but you should contact Gilead and Dr. Jacobson directly.

I am cirrhotic as well.. Failed 48weeks of victrelis triple tx last year. My Dr. is planning to treat me again in Jan. Trial. not sure which one
He said if that doesn't work, we'll do a transplant and treat me again.

After having this for 35+ years. I want it to be gone.

I think you might consider finding another doctor. Having cirrhosis is not necessarily a death sentence and many people with cirrhosis have successfully completed treatment. So many new drugs are coming on the market in a short time that I think it will be a game changer.
Seek another opinion.
