Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Since I was diagnosed and joined this group, I have read and taken part in numerous threads on the topic of relationships and HCV.
NEWSFLASH: on Saturday September 14, 2013 I was married to the love of my life. We had been together just shy of four years when I was first diagnosed. She, a two time cancer survivor, has been in my corner the whole time.
I could not be happier. I have posted a picture of us from that joyous morning.
