None reported yet but trials report around a 90% success rate so there will no doubt be a few.

You should be good Billy but I understand the worry. I only know of one relapse & that person was on Sol/IFN/riba. I believe she was a non-responder to the IFN. Not one report that I've come across on anyone who has done S&O & not achieved SVR or relapsed. That's the best news we can hope for.

Still, I'd like to know a whole lot more about the 10% who didn't get & keep SVR with the new meds. Was it due to slow response, non-compliance, drinking, reinfection? Was it combined with IFN/riba so not as effective? S&O is still off-label & the studies on that combo were small compared to all the other stuff. I like puzzles & mysteries but not when it comes to clearing HCV.

I'm good on S/O, Billy - SVR12 on August 4. Like aal, I'd like to know more about the 10% who didn't achieve SVR (in trials). Why not? Could be the Q80K morphism was present (only can be in 1a's not 1b's and was an issue with Interferon/Riba/Olysio), but I never was tested for it - doc said not necessary, that with Sovaldi on board, Q80K positive wouldn't matter. I can understand your concern too - it's normal until you get the results from 3 months AFTER you end the tx. Have faith though - Sovaldi is incredible and Olysio gives it a real punch. Didn't you do Riba at one point with Sovaldi - as in, Sovaldi/Riba? Well, Oly with Sovaldi seems to be the real deal. I know of no one who hasn't achieved SVR12 on that - and I read another forum.

In one month, I'll let you know if pessimism has any real effect on
SVR12 results. Ha ha....I doubt it! :)

None that I have head of...but it's still very early on for this combo. Are you talking about relapsing between EOT and SVR-12 or after SVR-12???

The way i understood it, Kramer the 90% is a cure rate that I think refers to SVR-12. So those who fail to clear anytime BEFORE SVR-12 would fall into that 10% - as I understand it.

If you are talking about relapsing after SVR-12, it's VERY VERY soon to have those stats. I was one of the very first on S&O Started tx in Jan 2014. I was SVR-12 June 30. the end of next month I will be tested for SVR-24. As I said, i am one of the first group to complete this tx...

But I wouldn't worry, Billy! I had blood work done recently for something else and they checked my ALT and AST and they COOL!!!

After SVR-24 the only thing to be concerned at all about is getting it again.

I'm 71/2 weeks past the end of my treatments with S/O, so I'm also anxious to reach the 12-week mark. My last VL test was at 4 weeks post-treatment.

The clinical nurse is keeping an eye on SVR 12 patients. She doesn't even do SVR 4. We are all waiting for the soon to come surge of SVR 12 results. I remain as alwaus, optimistic and encoraed. :)

Kramer, I certainly can understand why your nurse doesn't do a VL lab at 4 weeks post EOT - and instead does it at 12 weeks EOT - that is THE important one (along with SVR24,but my doc has proclaimed me "cured" at SVR12 on S/O). It was great to see my SVR4, but I knew the BIG one was SVR12.

The comment she made was it was not reliable as an indicator of SVR 12 so rather pointless to do. Yes SVR 12 is the "cure" and follow up again some months later (I think she said 6).

That member was on triple with Sovaldi, PegIFN and Riba.

Notice the questions I asked Paul Wilkerson. I PM'd him too but never got any answers.

Not reaching undetected is not a relapse. 3 mos ON tx is not SVR. That's a failed tx not a relapse.

I relapsed on sovaldi and interferon and riba 2 weeks off drugs.Looking forward to new drugs in November.
