thatwitch ...I am all for you! That's how I feel. I haven't started the Harvoni yet cause I am basically afraid to. I read a lot of posts and wrote down every side effect that people were saying happened while on treatment. I feel the same as you that they don't mention (they, meaning medical and doctors). Now my gasto/hep said I would only probably get nausea and headaches. Now come on I asked hin dd he have a lot of Hep C patients and he looked at me like I was crazy and YES!!! Now you cant tell me that none of his patients only has those side effects he mentioned. Cause if that was the case then the people here have a whole different story to tell as far as side effects.So you just came up with a lot of side effects mostly not even mentioned here. That is awful !! I feel for you and I hope it gets better but please keep us posted as I am very interested in the sides.I have the Harvoni here but have not started it yet because of all the side effects that people mention here. And I know that you will not get all of what is mentioned but can get some. I am 1a and have to take the 24 week one I think because I have Cirrhosis not sure unless my liver is a mess I don't know that either but see my Gastro doc on Monday and have a million questions for him. I was wondering if you had read the post I wrote titled "Harvoni nobody wants to say" you might get some answers there because a lot of people clarified a few things for me. Take a look. thatwitch ...wow did you get that list from the website you posted? Sorry didn't see this post just read your 1st. one and then went straight to the bottom cause I get sooooo piss#d hearing more and more side effects. This is crazy. I mean my gastro hasn't heard of ANY of these side effects from his patients and told me only nausea and headaches. Come on now!!! I am so mad right now I might blow up on him Monday at my appt. All of this is sickning. Why do they have to lie or not tell us the truth about what MAY happen. I know not everyone ill get all of these symptoms but that's the reason I am petrified to even stat the Harvoni. Not knowng which side effects I might have. Just like "splashsoul" said she cant even get out of bed cause of no energy. I have spent many times in bed cause of my depression but I am sure having no energy to the point where you cant get out of bed...huh !!! I live alone and I would like to know how many people do live alone doing this treatment and how they did. Scary sh&t for me!! thatwitch not taking your post away just wanted to know about people who cant get out of bed and the real truth. I have also not taken the old treatment this is my first time!

This are my thoughts:

I did the old treatments and could not finish.....so I expected some horrible, horrible mess with the new meds SOV/Riba 24 weeks.

I never got the headache unless I didn't drink enough water....I can't express that enough!! Found it out the hard way.

I was envious of the folks doing 12 weeks, I will be honest. I was
angry to have to be on those drugs for so very long. Somehow I made it and the end result is well worth the complaints and problems you have now.
Please believe me on that one!! I never thought my side effects would go away...

I never thought I could feel this good ever again!!!

God Bless and hang in there and put your complaints here as I put tons on them on here......and I got a lot of help which I was and still am grateful for.

Those good lab reports will give you the boost you need to keep going....

I was going to quit Harvoni after 12 wks Sovaldi and Ribavirin failed to sustain at 3 months. I was depressed and suicidal, had to quit riding my motorcycle because my riding was suicidal. The vomiting was the worst though. My Gastro Dr, Glombicki said to bite into a fresh lemon or lime or get some juice (fresh worked best for me) and there's some enzymatic reaction that stops nausea. This worked rather well for me although I detest lemon in my tea and people who know me well raised an eyebrow or two...best of luck. ps I was a year in therapy after Sovaldi and Riba...

oilfieldt .....A little confused about your post. Are you saying you took the Sovaldi and Ribavirin for 3 months and it didn't work and then you started taking the Harvoni ?? Are you saying you got suicidal and depressed from one of the two you were taking?? Had you had that (depression and suicidal thoughts) in the past before treatment at all? You were a year in therapy after Sovaldi and Ribavirin ? LIke do you mean counseling? And after that year you started Harvoni ? I am surprised they approved you for both. Hmmm sorry for all the questions. I should be starting the Harvoni soon and am interested what people have to say about it. How are you feeling these days and are you "undetected" now??

I would have to say that on Sov /riba that the worst of the sides are from the Riba not the Sov ..
I really have no idea about the Ledepesvir side
I too have had a few headaches and it is only when I dont drink enough water ...problem solved for me ..WATER...WATER..WATER
I have had PTSD and it was recommended I did not do INF/Riba but i did and although felt like sh8t I got to 12 weeks but was not responding much so they took me off .That caused me more anxiety than the meds
I am doing great on Sov /Riba obviously ,if I were to sit around and analyze all the aches and pains I could tell you lots I think ./.BUT I really dont know what is from beating Cancer 2x and having half a colon or from a major serious car accident last year ..
As I feel I have more energy on this TX I have been a little contipated so I do think that is a side cos I am always the opposite ??? I have 18 weeks left to do

the other hush hush side effects crept up on me .i already have hair loss,chills, hot flashes, irritibility, beligerent like angry , ready to start a fight, muscle cramps, i had constipation instead,,that fatique. its like at a certain time of day, this side effects would wash over me at once,and i was done for the day, sleep, sleep, sleep, i had to get into bed. im not a napper, never could disconnect, but with these no problem, i wouldnt nap, i would sleep for 10-12 hours, and still wake up fatiqued ,aches and pains,now i hope thats all behind me,finished up on sept 3rd, still experiencing some side effects. god speed
