Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Does anyone know or have heard of changes in hair colour throughout treatment? I'm 62 and have had white hair since I was in my early 40's. I've had HepC for about 40 years and was only diagnosed in 2003. I had my hair cut short when I started treatment cause it was getting pretty crappy looking and figured it would only get worse. It did. But now I've finished 24 weeks of tx and am two months post and I noticed that my hair which has grown about 3 inches since cutting it, is darker. I never had grey hair but nice white hair. Now I'm seeing lots of black hair that I never saw before except when I was young. It was my natural colour. Could the tx have changed that? I've been undie since 4 weeks.

My hair has changed from kinky to straight from all of the drugs I have been prescribed over the years of being a patient warrior battling the Dragon and organ rejection and lymphatic changes due to the very drug I take to prevent rejection...
I have also suffered from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma like symptoms and during that time I completely lost all of my hair...
I did manage to grow it back after we, meaning my oncology and transplant teams figured out what was wrong with me and found a way to fix it and so I returned back to almost normal then my hair grew back as straight as a ruler and with some added color of white I might add...
So the guy you see as my avatar now has some distinguished additions to his hair, there, everywhere! :>) :>) :>)
And he's stopped spinning!!! there's only one of him as opposed to the many you see in the avatar.

And it would have been the their sooner if it wasn't for my Sister who cut it last year when I was hospitalized then... Shit, i grew it back to where it was and I'm getting there so that it'll eventually go the way down to my knees!!!
