Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I am so glad that you are still able to go to serve in Africa! Enjoy your time there and don't let this distract you from your work there.
Ptriss said to me, "the Universe is doing exactly what it is supposed to do, it is just up to us to figure out what the hell that is" (and I'll add) and accept it. You know that you are "alright" and that even though this is not what you hoped for, things will look brighter soon.
