I am kind of stunned right now. I finished TX over two weeks ago. Took my post TX labs last week and went to my doctor today. I have been undetectable for five months. Today's labs show my VL at just over 33,000. I am repeating the labs tomorrow. I have no idea what's going to happen from here...but at least I have been feeling much better since i
finished TX.

the 24 week tx's are something relatively new rob. i dont know what they do about relapse. im guessing 48 weeks of re-tx. best of luck to you.

38000 is low and the tx is still in your body, still working, dont dispair. Leave those undies on.

Darn , I am being nice as I know you are a minister. Do the VL test again and see...How are your liver enzymes ? This tricky SOB of a virus is a royal pain in the you know what sometimes and there is no rhyme or reason why you were clear for five months and not clear after TX. Maybe the lab made a screw up... If not get healthy before you try again as I am now 7 weeks , as of tomorrow , finished with TX and I do feel a bunch better as you say you are now . I wish you only the best......

I agree, retest, then see what they suggest.
I did not respond to TX & they had me stop. It made me terribly ill & needed rescue meds.
I'm going to focus us on halting progression of liver disease & hopefully reversing some damage.
Not even thinking bout another 48 wks of tx, they stopped me at 13 wks.
What ever happens, you have what it takes to make good choices & follow thru.

Appreciate the responses. I am not in despair over this. Caught by surprise...yes...despair...no! I do the repeat labs tomorrow. I won't hear the results until I return from Africa (I leave in one week and will be gone until 9/14.)

Dirt - Alt/Ast are both normal and have been for three months. Thanks for being nice, but I am not one of those ministers who expects or needs folks to be different around them. I am just a 46 year old husband/father getting through this Hep C stuff just like everyone else here.
