Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I felt like I had the flu today, which is one of the common sides. Slept most of the day and feel a bit better. If that is the worse this treatment has then the next 10 weeks are going to be relatively smooth sailing.
Especially compared to the previous treatment.
It is so exciting seeing others are able to get the meds too and are able to handle it all with a sense of humor.
After I take my pill in the morning, if I go back to bed, I picture that big orange pill being like Pac Man. Going all over my insides and gobbling up that nasty virus.
So far, so good!
