Some of you may remember that one of the side effects from hell for me is this jock itch that wont go away. Ive been treating it with Lotrimin, and for the most part have been able to keep it at bay. But this last week in the swampy climate of Florida it came back, with a vengeance.

I woke up on my third night there and went down the hall to use the restroom. I just used the night light because I didnt want to wake up my sister and her husband sleeping across the hall. After peeing, I decided Id better put some more cream on because it was starting to itch. Out came the Dopp bag from under the sink, and I pulled out the tube in the dim light and liberally applied the cream.

Thats when I noticed a fresh, minty scent.

My mind instantly recalled freshman gym class in high school. A rite of passage was for the older kids to spread toothpaste on your balls. Burns like HELL!. Of course the perverts thought it was hilarious to see someone in pain and humiliation.

That is exactly what I felt when I realized that in the dark I had mistaken toothpaste for Lotrimin. Goodnesa gracious, great balls of fire!

My only hope was to jump in the shower.

So why did you take a shower at 3 A.M. my sister asked the next morning.

Oh, I was too hot to sleep, thought a shower might help.
