My good news last week was that I am an undie. Today, I have to officially announce that I am losing my hair. I had noticed that my facial hair was growing in patches after not shaving for a day. This morning after my shower I found a considerable amount(ok, lots!) of hair in the drain. My wife says it has been going on for a week but she didn't want to tell me. So...undie and balding...that's me!

Yeah i have noticed thinning hair......but to me if I make it to undie that's fine by me. And the good thing is it will grow back. Well......at least until mother nature decides to make it turn loose lol.

That might be one positive Moussa.......I have heard from many that it comes back thicker. Haven't researched the science behind that one, but i tend to take the word of someone that knows their hair!
Goose.....how come all you Jersey boys are so hairy?

God bless you Moussa, this place needs lots of prayers. I'm backing away also, but will be praying that it can get back to the support group it once was. Your hair will come back just fine. Congrats on the undie.

Yea, you'll be just as perty to your wife Rob. And to me. I'm really like a girl when it comes to wanting to look my best so I hope I don't have to go bald for a few months too! If that's what it takes to beat this though, so be it! Look at it as more ventilation for your brain.

I hope you take it in stride Moussa...as long as UND goes with it it's all good. :)

I've lost about 80% of my hair and it's been rather distressing given the fact that I have to go to work everyday in a professional office situation. I finally gave in and bought a wig but now I have to get up the courage to wear it...lol.

Keep up the great progress.

Rob, I've decided that if my hair - waist long - gets sickly thin, I'll cut it. Its so thick I can afford some thinning. Its just hair 7 it will grow back. Right? It will grow back???

Hey Rob , after doing some reading , it is possible for your hair to come back thicker after HCV. HCV and liver related problems from it ( as well as other organs/glands that can be affected ) can cause hair loss or thinning. So getting rid of the virus could very well lead to more hair.
lol It ain't much in the way of comfort, but I'll take it!

My scalp started to hurt around week 16 or so, then the fallout started.
My hair thinned for a couple months then it started growing back before I even finished tx!
Not to worry; your hair will come back just fine.
The more important issue is the undetectable status, and many people find bald attractive on a guy.
Go ahead and ask your wife; I bet she thinks you still look handsome.
