Hi Rynetteb , I just finished 48 weeks of peginton , it was not bad. I did not have a lot of side effects. Your going to be fine. The dragon dose not know what is waiting for him .he will be dead soon. hugs sushimat

Rynette...Glad you will be able to continue your job at the golf course this summer. When I read your original post the other day, I thought to myself, that your employer was misinformed. Anyway glad you got that straighten out. I just completed shot #6 last night, I was very nervous about the whole shot thing in the beginning, its normal everyone was. I am using the redi-pen, justs snap on the needle...tap out any air bubbles and your good to go. The needle is so small, I do not even feel it. Your going do fine and be a shot pro in no time. Just stay positive and try to surround yourself with positive people through your tx journey. Take care of yourself and drink lots of water. Welcome Rynette dragon slayer. It will be ok , just take advill or what ever your doctor recomends before yoy tale the shot and every time you feel rough and eat right and plenty of fluids.

im on pegasye and ribavirin pills. the pegasys is just a prefilled syringe, very easy to use, i take one shot week and two pills a day.

Rynette, I'm glad you were able to get the corrected information about working around food. Good luck with your tx! I'm still waiting for an appt with a new GI doc and, once I get that, I should be starting tx soon too.

Hi, RynetteB. There are a lot of misconceptions about HepC in the workplace. Glad you got it straightened out. The ole'man works in a lighting fixture store. When something breaks he's the LAST person they call to sweep up. I would guess that that's about the only positive side to HepC I've ever heard--nobody asks you to help clean up broken glass!

I had used both during treatments. I started with Peg- intron shots and then my treatments were stopped after 11 weeks due to insurance problems. When I started treatments over I was moved to the pegasys shots. I think the pegasys shots were way easier and simpler. The less there is to think about the less stress there will be. This was true for me any way......

just different companies..good luck girlie..and dont' forget 1/2 your weight in ounces of water a day..takes care of alot of side effects AND almost any side effect you may have there is something to fix it..be sure and ASK US
