Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
My doc said NO Vaccinations while on tx, but that might just be for me cause of my immune system stuff.
Not to alarm you, but for women, heart trouble symptoms are very fleeting and usually just blown off. last week my pcp checked my CK blood levels and it shows that they are elevated. This means muscle damage is happening, and could also mean that I have had a mild heart attack. I don't know yet what the outcome of that is going to be.. I have to call my HCV doc this morning and see.
What I am getting at is that those things that you list above are listed as symprtoms of the heart.
Heart attack symptoms for women
Pain or discomfort may spread beyond your chest to your shoulders, arms, back, neck, teeth or jaw. You may have upper body pain with no chest discomfort.
Please call your Dr and see what he/she thinks. The fact that it's back again might mean something more serious than a toothache.
Keep me posted please on how you're doing!
Love ya,
Kelly
@MLT last year (before starting tx) was the first year I got a flu shot too. I'm not on the transplant list.
Hope u feel better Deb hugs jan
I am never completely confident in Flu vaccines. Some years I have them, some years I don't yet some years I get the flu and other years I don't and there is no correlation as to whether I had a shot or not on that particular year.
Vancouver researcher finds flu shot is linked to H1N1 illness

"But in the meantime, Skow-ronski insisted the findings should not deter people from getting flu shots."
But I will check w/Dr re: taking it while on tx. With wbc so low, I'm afraid the flu or bad cold could really knock us out of the box. Mess up our lungs... I have a bit of riba cough as it is. And still get winded easily.
My doc ok'ed a flu shot while i was on tx, and i have side effects.
However, when i took the flu shot I was feeling fine (other than triple sx). I wonder if you're supposed to take the flu shot if you're actually ill at the moment
I was told to avoid dental work, including even cleanings
I'm feeling better today. That's what makes me think it's that one tooth that flares up now and then & causes radiating pain on that side of head. Throat hurts a teeny bit when I swollow. I'm supposed to make a nurse appt for the shot. Maybe I'll ask for an antibiotic if I'm still having these sx. that's what she did last time. my dentist told me this particular tooth has a crack in it (the roots) and would have to come out eventually. He told me that 2 yrs ago! None of us on tx are supposed to get dental work done. I think it's re: the novacaine interfering w/meds. I THINK that's what the reason is. Also, with low platelets etc, I can't see pulling a tooth...
Oh, and me & my buddy came up with some good names - if any of us were to have triplets: Peg, Reba, & Vic. or Brain Fog if it's a single.
