sometimes while stumbling around trying to work on tx i could feel empathy towards the forced laborers of ww11. it takes a lot to function with no energy..
Yes Cap'n is right. Some folks recover in a few months but many others take a long time to rebuild cell by cell. That can take a year or more.
May I suggest you keep a journal to reflect back on. Some days I think I will never repair from treatment but if I review my journal I see I have made progress. It's just so slow for me I would not realize it unless I go back a few months and read my entries.
Best of luck. You will get better!
just take it slowly...one day at a time now. do the usual stuff...rest a lot, keep drinking water and don't push yourself.
my doctor told me it would take about 2 years to get back to normal...meaning 2 years before our labs get normal..the wbc's, rbc's...neutraphils and lymph's.
yes, everyday you'll start feeling better and better!
Worth it because you are undetectable!!!
You've proved, anything is possible.
I'm told it takes as long, for some folk, to recover, from tx, as it does to GO through tx!! It's personal chemistry again!! Cap'n, you're one of my heroes!! I can't even think of going through tx 3 times,,,, and you've DONE it!! Anyone with the cajones to make it all the way through tx is my hero!!
Just give yourself lots of time to recover. I'm not quite half way through, and I know I'm going to have to do a lot of muscle rebuilding... not to mention getting rid of all the poisons running through my system now.
Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
And I have no more weight to lose! I do eat a lot and was told that it will take time for the muscles to come back. Since I'm 66, I would be losing some muscle mass anyway, so it's an uphill battle. But I'm not sure about even taking treatments. Gotta talk to Jesus and to the docs more about that. I'm so proud of you. Stay in touch.

Only the best for you.!.!
