Don't beat yourself up. This is the game we call life and we have all done things we wish we could change but you don't deserve this so get that out of your head.

I donot like people who judge people period. My beleif is their is only one who can ? does judge in the end.

It seems that even if you got the disease from a dr.s office, you (well, me) are looked at down the noses of many. I dont feel that it matters where one got this freakin nightmare, we are all inthis together. I also feel that just because someone did drugs or drank doesnt mean they got it from doing drugs. Plenty of people dont know where they got it, I cant be sure, I am guessing because of the timing. I sure dont feel holier than thou or anyone because some dr never bothered to clean the syringes properly, how does that sound any better or worse? I feel bad for people that struggled to get off drugs or alcohol just to find out they have this mountain to climb. Do you know of anyone that really feels that way? I havent seen any of that attitude here on DS, but that doesnt mean it isnt here. I told a lady at the pharmacy that I had hep c and she said " You dont look like your sick, or that you used to do drugs, are you a nurse?" I really didnt take that as an insult, I took it as proof that most people dont know how people get it. If you can get it having sex with someone that has it, how do you or I really know where we got it, so why feel bad? Why feel bad anyway, that sure doesnt change anything, and I feel it is better to leave all that in the past and concentrate on being hopeful of the new drugs coming, or the better treatments and the fact that most of us here are lucky to have found out and have a great place to come and discuss.

I sure hope that is not going on in this group of all places... geeze wouldnt that be awful.

yea paindora, i went to a hospital bout 11 years to inquire about tx. they treated me like a scumbag n told me without insurance tx wouldnt be happening. walked away pretty dejected.

i also either contracted hep c from drug use back in the 80's or from a couple of tattoos not done professionally. Either way i have it! i was doing tons of reading and really worried about following through. I happened by this sight by luck. Wow, after reading the posts and such caring people on this sight. I AM READY. you all are great. I start friday...
