Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

Yes, I was talking about Dr. Deitrich (sp?). I'm 1a, had this for 30 years. The local liver guy I went to recently was urging TX, said because I was infected so young, I'd "probably die fromt his and not something else." Not great for helping with anxiety.
But since I've been waiting 30 years, another few months isn't much. I need to get as much done as possible before Dec, though, when my health insurance plan is being discontinued (The company says it's due to the costs of Obamacare. Nice excuse) and I may end up with much worse coverage. But I'll wait, since I'm not sure what else to do. I can't hang out and wait for cancellations 'cause I have small children. I had to c oordinate this apt. with my husband's schedule. But Oct. isn't that far away...
