Daclatasvir + sofosbuvir offers hepatitis C rescue therapy after current standard of care
An interferon-free regimen of daclatasvir plus sofosbuvir, with or without ribavirin, cured all previously treated hepatitis C (HCV) patients who did not respond to interferon-based triple therapy using the approved HCV protease inhibitors boceprevir (Victrelis) or telaprevir (Incivo or Incivek), according to a report on Saturday at the 48th International Liver Congress (EASL 2013) in Amsterdam.

evidence confirms hepc sufferers are cured without interferon, an unknown timeframe remains before decision to eliminate the virus from the patient will be his/her choice

Hi, I tried finding the delta between Incivek or victrellis studies and real world usage but I can't find it. Do you have a link to that data?

I don't believe that sofosbuvir/daclatasvir really had 100% SVR. I know at my trial site not all cleared. The coordinator wouldn't tell me how many. She said the trial was a huge success but acknowledged that not all cleared.

Then what they report in their study results is a outright lie!

This is straight from Kramer's original link:

"At 12 weeks post-treatment, SVR12rates were 100% in the sofosbuvir/daclatasvir arm and 95% in the sofosbuvir/daclatasvir/ribavirin arm. Dr Sulkowski explained, however, that the one patient who did not show up for the 12-week post-treatment visit and was counted as a non-responder in the intent-to-treat (missing = failure) analysis came back for the 24-week post-treatment visit and still had undetectable HCV. Therefore, SVR24 rates were 100% in both arms. No virological failures or relapses occurred."

I've read the 100% SVR many times. It's even cited in Margaret Dudley's petition to the White House.

Wow, who'd think they'd outright lie?? Unless the one missing patient was at your site. Being a small study, that might be.

I just don't know what to think anymore...

just telling you what I was told. I trust no one...I tend to believe pharma reports what benefits them. I believe my trial coordinator. Why would she lie?

my trial coordinator in far from up to date to the latest information. the doctors sign a contract to do trials with the drug companies and sell it to patients using basic sales tactics
