The meds build up in your system, and even if you have a bad time on the first shot, you will be fine in a day or two, so there is no reason to put off tx.
I think many people imagine that they will feel horrible all the time and their lives will be ruined with their being able to do little except be sick. To those people I say, get prepared for a disappointment. Nothing much is going to happen for weeks.
You can't put off your life for 6months or a year, you may as well jump right in and get it over with. A week's worth of tx won't ruin your time at the wedding.
