I have just finished my course of S/R after 24 weeks, and after 2 days I have started to notice a definite increase of clarity in my brain. It is very hard to describe, but it is almost like something of a rebirth, with feelings becoming much more focused. I woke in the night with some anxiety, and told myself that this was OK, it is only to be expected that I will feel things differently, and that is alright.
So far no other weirdness, no flu symptoms yet... if this return of mental clarity continues, I will embrace it willingly!
I have my labs on Friday to see if I am still UND...

Your post makes me happy as I have 10 pills left myself! It's been a long 24 weeks but the end is almost here. I can't wait to see how I feel after all the drugs are out my system.

Since I also quit drinking at the beginning of treatment this will be the first time in FOREVER that I haven't had some chemical coursing through my body.

Time for a new beginning!

Thanks all, I will be out and about in this fine weather on my bike! Starting up work again, but now I have a fresh perspective: I will be doing my very best to act with calm and serenity, to not do things in anxious haste, but rather with sustained and thoughtful effort, to keep that devil stress out of my life as much as possible. This experience has taught me much, may I not forget that!
And MTC1969, the best thing I did was to stop drinking and using all those years ago, I am sure that is one of the main reasons for the lights being a little brighter up here on Dove Mountain!
I will still be around here, because I have so much to be thankful for from all of you.

This doesn't apply to all, but there are ones here that do understand,
as I do!!

I am waiting for Dec 9th......Mind is better, If am finally getting calmer.
Gave it up to God, I have no control of this.

Good job Rockerc.
I think the best thing I don't miss is the breathlessness. That started to wane away within the second week. I got my SVR12 dx a week or so back. WOOT.!!
I hope you get the same news.

Oh man tht is such a relief, almost can take a deep breath...I wondered about that breathlessness...I walked 4 mi last night and came home so winded...thanks for that hope....and Rockerc...did you ever have an ammonia test done and what was count...?? my PCP said my ammonia level went up considerably again...can't remmeber what is goin on sometimes...I have to sit down and figure it out...LOL
