The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Took my 5th shot Saturday and go to Doc Wednesday and see how the Solvaldi and Ribavarin and Pegasys is working feeling pretty good so far on these meds.

I am sooo happy to hear that someone is doing well on these meds. It is about time.

They are kicking my butt big time, but I only have to hang on for 4 more weeks!

Thanks just taking one day at a time have never done treatment before and hope they are working the only thing that gets me is this 100 degree temps outside but everything else is ok even the shot no sides yet on it that I notice but my liver was in good shape don't know if that has anything to do with it are not I will know Wednesday when I go to the Doc.

Ohhhh, mwgoforth, I cannot wait to hear your results.

My treatment has been pretty uneventful so far. O course, I am only closing in on the 4th day. Every time I open the fridge door, I do a silent groan when I see the peg shots peeking out at me.

The fever is from the interferon. After about 5-8 weeks the quantity of interferon in your system stabilizes and pretty much stays constant!

I ran that low grade fever for 6 + months a couple of years ago and have had it for the the last 13 weeks. It goes away a couple of weeks after the end of tx.

Lol I put mind in the bottom of the fridge so I don't open it till on Saturday afternoon but when I do take the shot got to watch for fever that is the only thing with the shot my RBC & WBC count went down and have to go to the doc every two weeks while on treatment but my done blood work and it all came back up this past Tuesday so good so Far you can do this its like a drop in a bucket!

It appears you are one if the lucky few who are not experiencing ill effects from RIBA/interferon. I hope that continues to be the case. Good luck.
